Welcome to the Elder's Notes. |
Someone ask me once:
Most people will say that you have free will, that you choose what to do in your daily life and ultimately
whether of not you go to heaven. But if God all-powerful and all-knowing and created the world then
wouldn't he know what you were going to do and by creating the world basicaly make every choice for
you?Whether you would have fruit loops or cherios he already knew when he made the world so by
making the world (and not just the planet earth but every cell ,tastebud ,hair and brain for every living
thing) and already knowing what would happen how is it that we have any choice in anything?
Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible
and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were
created by him, and for him:
We (heavens, earth, man, - all) were created by Him, & for Him. Man was created to serve, praise,
to worship, Him. God does know all things.
1 John 3:20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
God is omnipotent.
Revelation 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters,
and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
God is all powerfull.
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in
heaven and in earth.
1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding,
that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ.
This is the true God, and eternal life.
God is so great, He has created all. The choices also. He does know what choices we will make,
& what we will do. He has given us a free will. We can choose right, & change the outcome of things.
We have been given a free will, but we are not free agents. A free will to choose, but not free agents
meaning that there is going to be a recompense for the deeds we do, the choices we make.
John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather
than light, because their deeds were evil.
John 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should
be reproved.
John 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest,
that they are wrought in God.
Romans 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing
that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and
revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
God gave us His Word, so we would have the ability read what we will recieve for the choices we have made.
We have His Oath, His Covenant, His Testimony, of the rewards of our choices.
Ezekiel 17:19 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As I live, surely mine oath that he hath despised,
and my covenant that he hath broken, even it will I recompense upon his own head.
Job 34:33 Should it be according to thy mind? he will recompense it, whether thou refuse, or whether
thou choose; and not I: therefore speak what thou knowest.
Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you
life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve;
whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the
Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
How do we have a choice?
Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and
supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your
heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
John 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done
unto you.
James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
1 John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do
those things that are pleasing in his sight.
By prayer, keeping His commandments, & not asking amiss.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ
for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Lord Bless,
