"The Sound of Truth"
By: Notes from the Elder.
Spiritual Warfare
Prayer is a powerful tool. Prayer in spiritual warfare should be prepared for, & taken very seriously. It is also good to plan to fast while you are using spiritual warfare prayer. Any method: before, during, after, or combination of these. Prayer in spiritual warfare should not be rushed. Plan for it to take awhile. It should be planned to take at least a couple of hours, or more. If you don't take that long at first, it should grow to that.
When you use warfare prayer, you are on the offensive against the enemy. It is important that you follow the right path. Following specific paths in warfare prayer will help you accomplish the things you plan to do. Warfare prayer is NOT making a request. It is making a COMMAND. We the children of God have the power, the right to charge (command) angels to work for & with us to accomplish what we desire. They are heaven's warriors, - God's fighters.
In the scriptures Jesus gave us instructions how to pray. It isn't just a prayer called the Lord's prayer. We should understand that it's a guideline.
Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Jesus told us:
1. Go to Him, straight to Him, BOLDLY approaching Him. - "Our Father which art in heaven."
2. Bring praise, & thanksgiving. Enter His gates with thanksgiving, & His courts with praise. Bless the Lord, lift, & magnify, His name.-"Hallowed be thy name."
3. The Lord is the King. HE IS the Lord of ALL heaven, & earth. HE should be lifted up, & His DOMINION honored.
4. Seek Him & HIS will. Seek His will, putting Jesus FIRST, & above everything else. Put Jesus as the center focus of everything. We, our day, lives, everything should revolve around Him. - "Thy will be done."
5. He knows what we need before we ask. Ask. Ask Him for the Daily Bread. The things that are scriptural, spiritual, that we need for THIS day. The SPIRITUAL ahead of the temperal. Then ask for the temperal NEEDS. - "Give us this day our daily bread."
6. Seek His mercy. His forgiveness. Stay repented. Be sure you keep everything under His blood. Be merciful to others. Forgive others. When you forgive others, & show mercy toward them, Jesus can show mercy toward you. - "Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.."
7. Ask for guidance, direction. Ask for direction into truth. Ask Jesus to lead you into truth. You have to WANT truth. Ask the Lord to guide you away from temptation, & trouble. - "lead us not into temptation."
8. Ask for deliverance from evil, from the enemy, from sin, from the pull of the world. - "But deliver us from evil."
9. It's through His goodness, His kindness, His power, His glory, His DOMINION, His forever. His Word is forever settled in heaven. Everything belongs to HIm. He has TOTAL dominion over everything spiritual, & temperal. ALL power is given to Him. ALL glory is HIS. - " For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever."
10. So be it. - "Amen."
Understanding this before you go into warfare prayer will help you. There isn't anywhere you go that The Lord doesn't have total dominion. He is always able to help.
1. Begin prayer with praise, & thanks.
You can begin with "normal" praise, & thanks as you usually probably do. You can begin your prayer as you do in your daily prayer, so you will be comfortable. - The journey you are about to take is going to take some time.
2. Be sure to ask the Lord to forgive you of any sin.
- Whether you know of any or whether you don't. You need to know that you have put EVERYTHING under Jesus' blood BEFORE you go into WAR. CLAIM the blood. The blood is a covering, - protection.
3. Plead the blood.
Plead Jesus' blood over this day, your family, church, city, state, & nation. Name people you know, family, friends, anyone you know, & plead the blood of Jesus over them.
Pray in Jesus' name.
4. Pray on the armour of God.
Pray on the helmet of salvation.
To protect your mind, & eyes. To help you keep a clear, sound mind; & your focus on Jesus.
Pray on the breastplate of righteousness.
Ask God to filter everything that comes into, or out of your heart through his righteousness, & let you be easily impressed by the Holy Ghost; that you can easily recognise the unction of the Holy Ghost.
Pray on the girt of truth about your loins.
The girt of truth that your progress won't be hampered. That would carry your sword. That you would stay on the path of truth.
Pray on the boots of the preparation of the gospel of peace that shod your feet.
So that the Lord would guide your path, & guard your feet. That where you walk would bring peace.
Pray on the shield of faith.
So you can quench all the firey darts of the wicked enemy. To help you when you don't understand.
Pray, - take hold to the sword of the spirit which is the Word of God.
Ask God to help you to be on the offense with the truth, with the Word of God. That the Word of God would be annointed in your hands, & heart. That the Word of God would work through you. That you would be a channel through which the Word of God can flow.
Pray in Jesus' name.
Charge the angels. Charge them to do specific jobs you need done.
seraphims - help restore, revive, & bring salvation.
cherubims - protectors of God's holiness.
ministering angels - minister to the needs of the saints.
guardian angels - to help, & guide, new converts, our children, elderly people.
mighty angels - They are heaven's warriors, - God's fighters.
elect angels - ministers to the needs of the church, souls, influences, finances.
archangels - The heads of the armies of God.
Michael - He is a warrior agaist evil. To cast out evil, & bring truth to rule.
Gabriel - He is there to reveal truth. He reveals truth to people, that they could have truth, & salvation.
Other archangels - Heads of the armies of God. There are MANY armies, hosts, of armies of God.
Pray in Jesus' name.
Heb. 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.
13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,
18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:
19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.
20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.
21 By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff.
22 By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones.
23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king’s commandment.
24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter;
25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.
27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
28 Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.
29 By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.
30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.
31 By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.
32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:
33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:
37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;
38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.
Pray in Jesus' name.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

When you use Warfare Prayer, you can use more & different scriptures that YOU would like to use. Any scriptures that are of any PERSONAL contact, victory, or some type of direct involvement, in YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.
Prayer Stategies:
Fasting:
Use fasting when using warfare prayer. You can fast many different ways. It should be part of your walk with The Lord, that
you have fasting as a consistant part of your weekly schedule. I would recommend one, or two days out of every week consistantly,
instead of long, random fasting. It is usually doing without food for any length of time.
It is usually acceptable to drink water when you fast. Sometimes people drink juice when on extended fasts.
One meal a day that you normally eat. ( for 7 days; for 2 weeks; for a month...)
One whole day. (24 hrs.; breakfast to breakfast; dinner to dinner, supper to supper...)
Three days.
Five days.
Seven days.
Intercession:
Going to God with a specific, divinely inspired, request. To have an annointed prayer, & burden for a specific request. To literally stand in the gap between God, & souls or situations.
Travail:
To labour, strain, exert strength, in prayer. Pray after others have prayed. Pray until Christ be formed in you. Pray more, & with His purpose. Pray with the desire that His purpose be fulfilled. Pray until the job is completed. Do not stop until the job is done.
Supplication:
To earnestly seek, or beseech God.
There is praise, worhip, weeping, & laughing in supplication prayer. Use your emotions.
Lord bless,
Elder Jim
